The Cherian Foundation International Women's Day - 2010

Every year, March 8 is observed as International Women's Day - A celebration of the economic, political and social achievements of women around the world.

Each year, there is a lot of excitement within The Cherian Foundation on celebrating the Women’s Day for the staff of Raj Global Holdings . This year is no different. All of us were receiving beautiful invitation in shades of pink and mauve towards the buildup for the occasion!

Ms. Kavitha did the Master of Ceremony and she also briefed about the importance of women’s day celebration and work done by The Cherian Foundation. The programme started with a prayer song by Mrs. Annamma Thomas. Ms. Niranjala formally welcomed the gathering. The programme started with both a group song and solo songs.

Lucky Dip prizes were given to the 15 Lucky participants selected by Managements of Raj Global Holdings , Mr. Benjamin Cherian, Mr. George B. Cherian, VP and CFO. Dr. Mrs. Vathsala Narayanaswami, who is a professional teacher and nutritionist, was the chief guest. She gave wonderful speech with practical nutritional tips for the women. The tips given by Dr. Vathsala were very useful for staff to put into daily practice.

The staff were participated in the Interesting games organized for them like putting bindi for the actress, memory games and Kolam competition. Muscial chair was organized for the male staff.

Mrs. Valsa Benjamin Cherian, director of The Cherian Foundation distributed gifts and prizes to the coordinators and winners. Ms. Jaishree delivered the vote of thanks. The programme ended with the National Anthem.
