A 65 year-old K. Panchaiyammal, joined in B & H Exports (Raj Global Holdings ) in the year 1997. She was presented with complaint of gradual decrease in vision in both eyes. She was unable to carry out her daily activities and could not recognize people at some distance till they came quite close. She complained that Reading was becoming increasingly difficult for her during her eye examination done in the Eye Camp Organized by The Cherian Foundation on 16/03/2009.
She was referred to Bharani Hospital for computerized testing. On examination, she was diagnosed to have Immature Cataract for which she was advised Cataract Surgery in the left Eye. She underwent Cataract surgery in the left eye on 05.03.2010 and was advised to take rest for a period of 2 weeks. Post-operative vision, she is able to carry out her extensive daily work. She was able to work effectively now in B & H Exports.
